Bo Sang Umbrella Fair & Sankampaeng Handi crafts Festival—Chaing Mai

The Bo Sang Umbrella Fair, near Chiang Mai, is held on the main street and celebrates the traditional skill of making gaily painted paper umbrellas, features contests, exhibition, stalls selling umbrella and other handicrafts, and selection of Miss Bo-Sang.

 

Dragon and Lion Parade—Nakorn Sawan

 

This festival is held every year by local residents of Chinese ancestry to honor the golden dragon deity in gratitude for his benevolence. A procession in colorful costumes makes its way through the streets of the provincial capital with marching bands, lion and dragon dances, and figures of venerated deities.
Don Chedi Memorial Fair—Suphan Buri
In 1592 at Don Chedi, King Naresuan The Great of Ayutthaya won a famous dual on elephant with the leader of an enemy force, thus liberating the Thai kingdom. This fair commemorates the momentous event with historical exhibitions outdoor entertainments.

 

Straw Bird Fair—Chi Nat

 

There are plentiful of brightly colorful straw bird reflecting more than 85 species inhabiting Chi Nat Birds Park. The straw birds are parade in a fair which also features local handicrafts and culinary delicacies.

 

Phra Buddha Chinarat Fair—Pissanulok

 

Phra Buddha Chinarat Fair is held in late January or early February. The Phra Buddha Chinarat is one of Thailand's most sacred and delicately cast Buddha images of the Sukhothai style, and the fair includes a display of giant birds made from straw, folk performances and various entertainments.
